With 84 guest rooms and over 90 unique pieces, we brought local artistry to life at Hammett’s Hotel, celebrating the rich heritage of Newport’s working-class roots and historic mercantile wharves. Each piece was carefully selected to reflect the authenticity and resilience of the waterfront community, weaving together stories of maritime industry, trade, and craftsmanship. From photography to contemporary interpretations of nautical life, the collection creates a deep connection between guests and the city’s storied past. By integrating locally inspired art throughout the hotel, we’ve transformed the space into a living tribute to Newport’s legacy, ensuring every guest experiences the spirit of the harbor in a meaningful way.
